About this stage

Brown County has established itself as a premiere riding destination! The trails are very scenic, with plenty of challenge, and rapidly becoming known as a destination location for mountain bikers in our region. The course contains quite a bit of climbing, but all at rideable grades. The Intro and Beginner Women's category skip the most difficult portion of the course.

Within this, Indiana's most popular state park, there are amenities such as swimming pool, campground, nature center, lodge / restaurant, cabins, horse riding, hiking, and much more. The prior day, June 5, DINO hosts the Qdoba DINO Trail Run Series 15k and 5k footrace on the same trail system.

About this stage

Last year, heavy rains postponed this event twice, but those who were able to attend the re-scheduled event were greatly rewarded. This is a fantastic trail system and a challenging race course. Versailles State Park is one of Indiana's best trails, purpose-built for mountain bike riders by mountain bike riders. Highlights of the trail are several long yet gradual climbs, fantastic downhills, great views, and fun trail flow. Lap length is around 10 miles.

Pre-riding is available Friday evening or Saturday after 1 pm. Preceding the race is Saturday's XTERRA DINO Triathlon Versailles. This race challenges athletes to a swim-bike-run triathlon held on off-road courses.

The park offers several activities making it a good choice for a weekend getaway: swimming pool, rowboat/canoe/paddleboat rentals, hiking, camping, horse riding, fishing, etc.

The park will also host the 24 Hours of DINO, a solo or relay event with 6, 12, and 24 hour divisions. The 24 Hours of DINO course uses a bit longer course (13.5 miles).

About this stage

France Park is one of the most unique courses on the DINO circuit. The course contains a surprising variety of terrain, including a few bits of technical and rocky singletrack (one tough run-up hill) scattered into the abundance of super-fast wide trail and fire road. At the end of each lap, the dry quarry section will make you feel like you're in a desert out west. If you like to use your big chainring, this is your course! The full lap is just under 8 miles long. The park offers a swimming lake among its many other activities.

Pre-riding will begin Saturday after 1:00PM - Watch or join in the annual XTERRA DINO Triathlon Logansport, Saturday morning starting at 9 am!

France Park charges $7 per day for mountain biking. This does include race weekend - you will be charged coming in for the race. Also note, trails are closed on wet days – call in advance of your pre-ride trip!

About this stage

This race is part of the KENDA DINO Mountain Bike Series and a qualifier for the US Cup Invitational Championship.

DINO is thrilled to introduce this new race course for 2010. French Lick Resort is a world-class facility and the new, purpose-built, mountain bike trail is no exception.

The mountain bike trail, built by Indiana's best trail builders, was designed with visions of hosting national-caliber races. The course includes long but gentle climbs, long flowing downhills, passing sections, and enough technical challenge to "keep it real"!

French Lick Resort is most famous for its historic West Baden Springs Hotel, with it's breathtaking domed atrium, and the equally historic French Lick Springs Hotel. We encourage you to make it a get-a-way weekend and experience French Lick while you're in town for the race.

Watch for a course map to come in the spring. Exact route and direction are not yet finalized. Expected lap length is 8-10 miles.
