Ride the Wacky and support Douglas County Schools!

The 4th annual Wacky Bike Ride is a one-day cycling event to encourage fitness, fun, and fundraising. With four rides to choose from, and money from each registration benefiting Douglas County Schools, the Wacky is a no-brainer way to spend a Sunday in Colorado! Riders enjoy a spacious staging area at Rocky Heights Middle School, stocked aid stations, excellent post-ride food, an amazing expo, and fun-filled goodie bags.

Riders have the option of 4 courses:

•6 mile - perfect for kids of all ages or anyone looking for a fun ride on the trail systems.
•45 mile - offers some climbing, flats and beautiful terrain taking riders through the major cities of Douglas County.
•62 mile - same as the 45, but with beautiful scenery rolling out and back along Highway 105 to reach a metric century.
•100 mile - same as the 62, but with MORE beautiful scenery including Tomah Road and Palmer Lake.

Registration Fee Includes:

•A 2014 Men’s or Women’s Wacky jersey for 45, 62, and 100 mile riders
•A Wacky Race Cap, Beanie or 6" cycling Socks for 6 mile riders
•A yummy post-ride lunch in the Food & Fun Zone
•The best goodie bag you’ll receive all season
•SAG, medical, mechanical and law enforcement support on all routes

How the Wacky Bike Ride benefits Douglas County Schools:

It's very simple and there is no fundraising! When you sign up for the Wacky, a set amount from your registration automatically goes to supplying brand new school supplies for students in Douglas County through the Kits for Kidz program.  The set amount is $10 for the 45, 62, and 100 mile distances and $5 for every 6 mile registration. Want to give more? No problem! You can give an additional donation during registration. Every $20.14 provides a full school supply kit for a child in any grade in Douglas County Schools.  That's pretty awesome. Kits are distributed by the Douglas County Educational Foundation (DCEF).

Refund Policy: Cyclists tolerate all types of Colorado weather; and, while we would expect a beautiful fall day in early September, one never knows. The Wacky will go on, regardless of the weather, and there will be NO refunds.

IMPORTANT: Due to safety precautions, every Wacky rider must be registered and on a bike. No bicycle trailers are permitted. Tag-a-longs are OK (6 mile route only), however both riders must be registered.
