How the Wacky Bike Ride benefits Douglas County Schools:
It's very simple and there is no fundraising! When you sign up for the Wacky, a set amount from your registration automatically goes to supplying brand new school supplies for students in Douglas County through the Kits for Kidz program. The set amount is $10 for the 45, 62, and 100 mile distances and $5 for every 6 mile registration. Want to give more? No problem! You can give an additional donation during registration. Every $20.14 provides a full school supply kit for a child in any grade in Douglas County Schools. That's pretty awesome. Kits are distributed by the Douglas County Educational Foundation (DCEF).
Refund Policy: Cyclists tolerate all types of Colorado weather; and, while we would expect a beautiful fall day in early September, one never knows. The Wacky will go on, regardless of the weather, and there will be NO refunds.
IMPORTANT: Due to safety precautions, every Wacky rider must be registered and on a bike. No bicycle trailers are permitted. Tag-a-longs are OK (6 mile route only), however both riders must be registered.
